2010 All-Star Game - August 7 at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium The Fox River Valley American Legion League annually holds a league all-star game following the completion of postseason tournaments. Each league coach nominates four players from his team for the all-star game and one or two players from each team are then selected to participate in the game. Coaches are selected on a rotating basis. The teams will be divided between the American Conference and National Conference squads. The game will last nine innings and be followed by the annual league banquet. American Conference Wins FRV All Star Game With Big Fourth Inning The American Conference scored two runs in the top of the first inning on a RBI ground out by Green Bay Shockers Kyle Mahlik and a fielding error to grab a quick 2-0 lead. The score stayed that way until the fourth, when RBI's by Josh Barker, Alex Larsen, and Shawn Deisinger extended the lead to 6-0 American's. Zach Zamborowicz of the Green Bay Shockers finished the game going 2-for-2 with a run scored. Winning pitcher Matt Roberts of Manitowoc earned game MVP honors. Roberts tossed three scoreless innings, striking out four and walking one. In the seventh, the American's extended the lead to 7-0 with a RBI single by Ash Port's Adam Michalski. Zamborowicz would later score on a fielding error to make the score 8-0. Kewaunee County's Cody DeGeneffe added a RBI fielder choice in the eight to make the score 9-0. The National's would score their lone run in the bottom of the frame on a RBI ground out by Waupaca's Sam Gill. Beau Burgert of Oshkosh would be named the MVP of the National Conference, going 2-for-2 with a double.
